Wind

I'm not able to live in the present,
I'm in love with anxious dreams
Both under wet glimmer of crescent
An' solar fiery streams.

I'm not able to live in the present,
I'm taking the hint of a string,
Flowers, woods resounding pleasant,
An' tales a billow may bring.

For a greater desire forever I pine
I live in the future so dim,
At dawn in the fog I peacefully sign
An' with a night cloud I swim.

Often I'm covered by a sudden delight
Disturbing the leaves with a kiss.
I constanltly live in a tireless flight,
I live in a ceaseless unease.

One more translation I made myself. This time I chose a poem of a brilliant and unsurpassed Russian poet and writer Konstantin Balmont. His poems differ with rich imagines and melodic flow, they are filled with supreme powers of eternal feelings and love, whether it is love of nature or of a man. I like as he showed the worries of wind, used to be considered as one of the elements, free and unsubordinated. This allusion gives us a chance to compare ourselves with the wind blows and understand how well we live our lives.

Heh, I found the new stream for me! I couldn't imagine that tranlating can be so attractive. And when there're no any ideas in your head you always can borrow others' ones and upload a new dA piece :D

I spent 2 weeks translating this poem from Russian into English. I had to choose from a variety of different versions of the same lines to make it sound well. It's a difficult work and I'm glad that you found it beautiful, thanks a lot and you're always welcome!
